Microsoft has in fact released their latest Service Pack 2 for the Vista. Not sure what this particular service pack is aimed at, I’m guessing that the SP2 would address security problems on the Vista. On the other hand, I don’t think that there would be anymore performance boost for the Vista under the SP2. Nevertheless, you can now head up to Microsoft’s web portal and start downloading the standalone installers to install the service pack.
