 This is the latest drive released by Seagate and it is packed with a serious 1.5TB of data storage capability. Can you imagine how much data that this could store? – All in one little device! Coupled 4 of these drives together and you get a cool 6TB of data storage capability.
The jump from 1TB to 1.5TB is the "biggest capacity hard drive leap in the more than half-century history of hard drives," as reported by Seagate, and the perpendicular-recording drives should commence shipping in August. There are also a couple of Momentus 2.5-inch 500GB notebook drives pending in Q4 in 5400 and 7200RPM speeds, but like the elder brother, pricing is not yet available -- we've got a hint you might want to start saving those hard earned money, though.
