Of course, we've heard Sony untruth facts about a forthcoming PS3 price fall before, but we're inclined to trust Mr. Nobuyuki Oneda on this news. Well the chief financial officer told a meeting in Singapore that "this present year, that [Sony's] policy is not to sell more quantity for PS3 but to focus on profitability." As you can see, Sony has reported a huge loss of $3 billion dollars as they were selling the console below cost price. Again, he reiterated that Sony's "plan is not to decrease the price." Oh Yeah, on the other hand, we all know the Xbox 360 will be getting a little softer on the our purse or wallet, but with the public's newfound concern in the PlayStation 3's Blu-ray abilities (which is pretty amazing), we too see no cause for Sony to take an even bigger smack right on the face. After all, this console is still widely seen as one of the best deals going for those concerned in a Blu-ray deck, and we don't see that evolving in the very near future of next year.
