Intel has made plans to roll out their all new Core i5 into the market this coming July to September. According to their spokesperson, Intel is ready to push out their Lynnfield procs and 5-series chipsets.
Intel made the decision to delay their implementation of the new chips, due to the fact that the economy wasn’t performing on par for the past couple of months. This ensures that most of Intel’s distributors have time to clear their inventory for the latest chips.
On the other hand, AMD has not made any plans to ship out their version of processors to match the Core i5 processors from Intel.
The Core i5 processors would be selling with the following price, 2.93GHz ($562), 2.8GHz ($284) and 2.66GHz ($196).
