When I saw news which revolves around Fujitsu, my initial impression has always been – oh no, not another expensive device produced by Fujitsu! Nevertheless, Fujitsu has unveiled their FUTRO S100 today and it’s one of the industry’s most silent basic PC.
The FUTRO S100 comes with the following hardware specifications:
500MHz VIA Eden ULV processor
1GB of DDR2 memory
2 USB 2.0 connectors
VX800 media processor
VGA output, Ethernet
Chrome9 HC3 graphics
Well it seems that the 500MHz VIA Eden ULV processor only consumes 11 watts of power, thus giving it the ability to work in a very cool environment.
However, Fujitsu has yet to disclose the price for the FUTRO S100. I believe that you’ll need to cross your fingers and pray hard that they won’t sell it ridiculously expensive for such a basic PC?
