Once again, we're hearing that brilliant scientists have developed a breakthrough that would make Mr. Moore look remarkably smart, as a new approach to chip making could eliminate features in silicon chips "that are many times smaller than what the wavelength of the light used to make them."

As reported, the new method "produces grids of parallel lines just 25-nanometers width using light with a wavelength of 351-nanometers," even though the grids aren't functional circuits just yet.
