This is the latest drive released by Seagate and it is packed with a serious 1.5TB of data storage capability. Can you imagine how much data that this could store? – All in one little device! Coupled 4 of these drives together and you get a cool 6TB of data storage capability.
The jump from 1TB to 1.5TB is the "biggest capacity hard drive leap in the more than half-century history of hard drives," as reported by Seagate, and the perpendicular-recording drives should commence shipping in August. There are also a couple of Momentus 2.5-inch 500GB notebook drives pending in Q4 in 5400 and 7200RPM speeds, but like the elder brother, pricing is not yet available -- we've got a hint you might want to start saving those hard earned money, though. |
Yes! This year, there would be more Sony VAIO Z series laptop waiting to be released into the market! Best of all, you can expect small displays – such as 13 inch LCD screens in these babes!
On the other hand, it would be equipped with Core 2 Duo processor, 1,600 x 900 native resolution, 4GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, and also a dual-layer DVD burner, a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphics card, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and WiFi capability, integrated HSDPA connectivity (which is faster than 3G) and a modest array of ports.
Not much details on the release yet. Stay tune! |
AOC's 2230Fh LCD was looking pretty well and dandy, but if you're looking for something comparable to pull triple function as a media player and digital photo frame (its words, not ours), you'll want to refocus on the 2230Fm. The above mentioned display is apparently the first from the company to boast HD3 technology, which contributes to its abilities to function as an additional HDTV.
The unit encompass a proprietary menu and remote to play back clips copied onto memory cards (there's a 4-in-1 reader), and in addition a 1,680 x 1,050 native resolution, 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, cool USB 2.0 socket, DVI / HDMI capability, integrated speakers, 2-millisecond response time and a glossy black finish. It’s available for $399.99! |
A single photo of Sony Ericsson's "Patti" candybar handset was apparently making the rounds prior this week, but an obliging member of the SE4M forums has now fortunately provided a whole batch of delicious looking photos of this little device, as well as word that the phone has now been formally dubbed the W902.
Apart from the 5-megapixel auto-focusing camera with an LED flash, however, this one looks like a pretty standard SE mobile phone, with it boasting all the usual Walkman-related functions and tried and true design you've come to imagine. No word on a discharge just yet, but you can at least get a high-quality look via Googler. |
We're pretty clear that we'll be hearing this same story each and every year, whereby the story goes on every year for the rest of eternity, but hey, it's not like we're kvetching over that or anything like that. Once again, we're hearing that brilliant scientists have developed a breakthrough that would make Mr. Moore look remarkably smart, as a new approach to chip making could eliminate features in silicon chips "that are many times smaller than what the wavelength of the light used to make them."
As reported, the new method "produces grids of parallel lines just 25-nanometers width using light with a wavelength of 351-nanometers," even though the grids aren't functional circuits just yet. If you like to hear more in technobabble on the matter, Google this "photolithographic" and "nanotechnology." |
Wait, did you know that Verizon actually decided it would be a fantastic idea to make official a cellphone today? Yes! You are right! -- the Chocolate 3 was announced with a Sunday purchasable date today, but for those hoping to see the new wrapper unfold a few days earlier, today's your lucky day.
The watchdogs over at Laptop were able to get their hands on the new flip and test it out ever-so-briefly, and while first impressions seemed rather good, we reckon it's the photos you're really going after. Dig into the read link for the full gallery. |
Word is on the street that the new iPhone 3G is really the hottest product to hit the shelves, reveling in the afterglow of yesterday's purchase, repeatedly opening Maps on your shinny new iPhone 3G and watching in exaggerated little gadget as your location is determined at frightening speed and dead accuracy.
Others might be lining up in a line snaking hundreds of bodies long into your nearby local Apple Store, reading this post from the comfort of your 3G mobile phone and realizing that these are some of the last periods you'll be using a physical keypad. Still others are feeling that the entire fuss is artificially hyped up -- but whatever your stance on the new 3G phone, it's pretty hard to ignore the publicity that's floating around in the aftermath of day zero. |
Word around the corner was that the $299 price slash we've been listening to wasn't about carving out a new pricepoint but instead creating room for a new 60GB Xbox 360 to claim its throne. Turns out the Mr. Word on the Street nailed this one pretty darn right, with Microsoft finally fessing up to the price decrement, and announcing a new fancy 60GB Xbox 360 to be priced at that $349 pricepoint, which will be available in "early August."
You can purchase the 20GB "while supplies last," but the $279 Arcade and $449 Elite aren't negotiating the price wise. Oh, and can we just say that this couldn't be available at any better a time? We just had to delete August Rush to make additional space for National Treasure 2, which we'll probably have to forget about tomorrow for Fool's Gold. Such is life when you've only had 20GB of disk space to work with. |
If you've been pulling all your hair out, pacing wildly around the your office, and sweating bullets over the sweet ASUS Eee PC 1000 (and we know you have doing so), you'll be pleased to know that the the mini sized version of the company's mini-laptop has now become available for pre-order on Amazon.
The site doesn't provide much details on release dates for the systems (the $699.99, 40GB SSD available on the 1000, and the $649.99, 80GB HDD varient on 1000H), though we're figuring it can't be too long till these models hit the shopping centers. In the meantime, we recommend going for long jogs. |
